The alphabet book (Букварь)
Here is the Soviet alphabet book, used to teach russian children to read and write. Almost anyone who was born in early 80s can remember this book.
This kind of books also called Азбука from the old names of the first two letters of the russian alphabet - Аз (А) and Буки (Б).

When I was a kid in Soviet school a teacher reprimanded one boy for writing Mom with the capital M and lenin with the small one. So it was not bloody lol!
On the other hand, the quality of teaching Russian was waaaaay higher. I weep every time I'm taking a look into my son's textbooks.
