Reverse French-English Course

At the moment, I am doing a French for English speakers course, but I would like to do a reverse course. Is there a way I can do this on my current account or do I have to create a new user? Thanks

You can do it on your current account :) Hover the mouse over the flag which is on the left of your profile picture. Click on "Add a new course". On the right side there is an option "I speak". Choose French. There will be a list of languages which are available for French speakers. Choose "English". Click on "Switch to Course". If you want to change to English---> French again, click on "I speak English", choose the French course and then click on "Switch to course". This will keep your progress safe for both the languages :) Hope this helped! :)

You can do that on your current account. :) But attention, when you change your language to French, it won't show you anymore your French from English tree, but the progress won't be lost, you can switch between languages at any time. :) Good luck!

If you have Chrome download Tampermonkey so you can install this script. (You can use this script in most browsers though, the info on the page should explain how to do everything.) https://github.com/arekolek/DuolingoCourseSwitcher It adds a dropdown menu where you can easily select the course you want to do from a menu. :)

You might consider changing your settings for the reverse tree to turn the audio exercises off if you don't need practice listening or speaking English. The problem is that there is only one setting for all your courses for each account. I have two accounts (on two computers) so that I can set them differently. Otherwise, you have to switch your settings back and forth if you are working on more than one tree.

Thank you! I don't really mind having extra listening exercises so it's all good =)

As long as you don't mind listening in English, then it should be no problem.
