Quizlet For Vocabulary
I've been using this website called Quizlet for memorizing both my French and German vocabulary and I must say that it is one of the best sites out there for doing so. You can pretty much study anything you want in there. It consists in creating your own flashcards, and then you can choose different ways for testing whatever you put in them. Thanks to this site I've learnt more than thirty words in one day. You should definitely try it out!
I hope this results helpful to you, good luck!
Quizlet is very good if you're just starting out with a course and don't have too many words. Once your vocabulary grows (500+ words), it will be very hard to manage and to keep track which words you need to practice and which you don't.
I recommend Anki for this purpose, because it tracks how well you know each word by your very own ranking, and it doesn't ask you words that you are confident with, but only words that are problematic and/or hard to remember for you. Its algorithm is called Spaced Repetition, and it's much more time-efficient than grinding through every single word you've gathered since you started your course on Duolingo.
You can sync it between your computer and phone, so it's just as convenient to use as Quizlet. (The Android implementation, AnkiDroid, is excellent and free, but the iPhone/iPad one is a bit pricy unfortunately).
Thanks for mentioning this! I've heard about Anki before but never really used it, but I didn't know how it actually worked. Once my vocabulary grows I will definitely try it out!
Yes, I have used quizlet for several reason. I used it to study and brush up on my material and I higkey recommend it.
