Is there a way to make more of your questions, English to Spanish, rather than Spanish to English?

Hi everyone, apologies if this is not the right place. I was wondering if there was some way of altering the settings or something so more of my questions involved me translating words into Spanish than into English (which I find easier).

Thanks for any help.

The emphasis changes as you get further down your tree. The only other way, if that is not enough, is to do the reverse course e.g. english from Spanish.

Ah that's good to know and that's a great suggestion too. Thanks!

Hover over the flag by your profile picture. Click "add a new course". Change the "I speak" to Spanish and an English course will come up. Click "switch to course". When you want to go back to Spanish for English speakers, change it back to "I speak- English". DON'T WORRY! It will save your previous progress. Hope that helps!

Nope. Unfortunately Duolingo has decided based on some A/B testing that people prefer easy over challenging and therefore they teach you primarily to read the language you are learning rather than how to use it.
