If you spend a lot of time keeping trees gold like I do then using Timed Practice is a great way to maximize your XP total.

You only have to buy Timed Practice once in the lingot store and it then becomes an available option for all practice sessions. Use it on things you know well, don't use it for those that are still a bit new.

When reviewing a lesson: Untimed (normal) practice: Max of +10XP Timed practice: +1XP for every correct answer.

Make your practice pay!

I do not think that keeping things gold is based upon XPs.

It's not. The point of the post is that "If you spend a lot of time keeping trees gold like I do then using Timed Practice is a great way to maximize your XP total." That is, if you practice anyway you can get the most points for it with timed practice.

timed practice is great for lessons you know reasonably well, but with newer areas it is quite difficult.

What I have started doing of late (with the newer lessons) is to first do the lesson with normal practice, so as to regain a bit of familiarity. Then, immediately after, I do a timed practice. Quite often I manage to complete the timed practice with a reasonable score. If I don't (anything under 15) I repeat it until I get a decent score. I find I learn more this way, and the next time round it is easier.
