I finally reached level 25 in French. My thanks to everyone, who helped along the way. I am going to celebrate by reading Jean Cocteau's Les Enfants terribles during the Christmas holidays. By the way, is anyone else experiences problems with flags. My level 25 announcement looks a bit naked. :(

wow, congratulation; I'm also doing French now (both from English and from German). Although, I achieved level 25 in German already, it seems to me a loooooooong loooooooooooooooooooong way for French. But I'm gonna keep going. All the best :-)

Congratulations! Honestly, for for me anyway, getting level 25 seems harder than completing an entire tree or getting a year streak, but you got it all! Keep up the amazingly good work!

Hi, I've noticed that quite a few Duolingo users have a series of languages above their name with capped levels like yourself. I was just wondering if you could give me your honest opinion of the fluency level of each of your learnt languages on Duo? Thanks!!

I can read German, French and Italian. Spoken language is out of bounds for me. Producing text is slow, but I can do it, if the text is relatively simple. I am better with Swedish. I can also speak and understand speech in that language, although I make a lot of mistakes.

Do you plan on persuing your languages to a higher level of fluency?

I am working on Swedish at the moment. I have a friend from Sweden, with whom I talk on Skype. I do not know about the other languages. Reading is my priority at the moment.

Not offended. :) You are posing a perfectly valid question. I love reading. It is to me much more important than interaction with other people. I am learning Italian, because I want to read Dante in Italian. I am learning French, because I want to read Proust in French. I want to read Schiller in German and Pushkin in Russian. Swedish is a bit different. I am learning Swedish, because it is an official language in Finland (yes, I am a Finn). It is an essential part of Finnish history and culture, which is why I also want to be able to speak it. I doubt that I will ever be fluent, though. :)

I find that pretty amazing that you've reached talking comprehensability in swedish and even literacy comprehension in half a dozen other languages!! However, and please don't take any offence in what I'm about to ask, but, why did you decide to learn French, German, Italian, Norwegian and Russian/Dutch, if your main goal was to become fluent in Swedish? I ask this because I personally couldn't fathom learning more than even 3 languages including my native, let alone 6/7 like yourself.
