In my opinion it's more likely "My mother cannot be found anywhere"

"ergens" is "somewhere, anywhere", and "nergens" is its negation "nowhere". You can see the same pattern with the n as negation in iets/niets (something/nothing), iemand/niemand (someone/no one), and ooit/nooit (ever/never).
