iPhone App bug - Lessons not turning gold after strengthening?

Hi, is anyone else experiencing a bug with the iPhone app? When I strengthen individual skills on the iPhone, they don't turn gold and the list of "weakest words" is not updated. It doesn't matter if I do the strengthening exercise multiple times, or how many mistakes I made, and I've also tried repeating the individual lessons. When I do the same exercises on the website, the skills turn gold immediately after one practice. I've been back and forth a few times on a range of skills and I see the same pattern. My skills are mostly at 3/4 (on the app) or 4/5 (on the website) when I do the strengthening exercises. I am learning Swedish from English, but don't know if this is limited just to this version. Anyone know if there is a new or recent bug in the iPhone app?

I have the same problem. All we can do is hope the mods will pick up on this soon and try to fix it. :)

Us mods can't do anything about these hardcode issues. We just provide content and moderate forums.

What i meant was more like, that the mods would get it to the administration somehow. Programming the app is apparently a job and since the mods kind of look over the discussions I figured they'd tell the programmers? I can't explain it very well, sorry.

Mods can't do much more (in terms of contacting Duo staff) than any user: see my comment just below about what any user (mods included) can do.

You can sum up to this other report about it in the Troubleshooting forum: the more upvotes, the more visible to DUo, the more likely to be fixed soon.

I had the same problem, tried relogging, but that didn't work. However, for some reason if you delete the app and reinstall it, it does work again. At least for me it seems to work again, worth a try I guess.

That sounds very annoying. I'd send a message to tech support through the help link at the very bottom of the page. (You may need to go to the desktop site to see it.)

I noticed that problem on both iPhone and iPad. It comes an goes. Some skills update properly and some don't.

I "worked around" it by surfing into the site on safari.

I'm experiencing the same problem and have reported it to Duolingo. The words that are listed as "weak" are actually words I have no issues with. Perform the lesson without errors and the next time the same words pop up. Lesson never turning to gold. Very frustrating.
