Dreaming in the language I'm learning.

So, im learning French at the moment and loving every part of it. I spend at least half an hour a day learning. However I've started to realise that I am speaking in French in my dreams. Is this happening to anyone else? I think I am more wowed and amazed by this than I should be lool.

Yes, it happens to me very often too. :) It's good, it means you're starting thinking in your target language. Congrats!

Cool! I remember when I first moved to Switzerland (the french speaking part) I dreamed I was speaking in french.. accept it was like fake french because I couldn't even speak yet! Now I speak french 24/7 and I haven't dreamed in french since then.. it's weird how are minds work! It's probably because I always still think to myself in English most of the time.

A lot of people dream in different languages, some haven't even heard the language before. Weird right?

It happens to me. Sometimes in full sentences and others a mix of English and French.

That's happened to me before. I've talked to my wife , who doesn't speak Japanese, in Japanese in my sleep multiple times lol.

"Willst du Tollwut?" I translate that "Do you want rabies?". Strange dream.

I don't really dream in words, but I do have dreams where other people are "speaking" Spanish and I am the only other one who can understand them. They don't really speak, though. No one does in my dreams.

Strange isn't it? for the past few weeks now I've been having conversations in my dreams. Last night in my dream I kept saying to someone Et toi? And I was annoyed that I had to keep asking and the person not saying anything back.

I have been dreaming in German a lot; not too surprising as I have been watching lots of tv in German lately. But still cool although it doesn't always make much sense.

Oh that sounds so cool! Dreams are so weird though, how you remember some but not others, and forget some even as you are remembering them lol. Never had a dream in another language, but I haven't been learning French for long
