Difference between 'til' and 'for'
Can someone explain this to me?
Apparently, 'til' means 'to' and 'for' means 'for', but if you say:
What are you having for dinner?
It is translated as
Hvad du spiser til aftensmad?
Can someone explain this to me please? I'm going crazy! My boyfriend and his entire family and friends can not differentiate between the two.
Should've phrased my question better. What I really want and need to know is - which situations should I use 'til' and 'for' for?
What I meant to say was I didn't understand how 'til' could be used in this context, but TotoroFia explained it quite well. I should also have phrased my question differently as what I really want to know is which contexts and situations should 'til' and 'for' be used for. Like a guide of some sort?
I tried to Google it, but nothing came up, unfortunately.
