Wasn't this supposed to be an extended quiz UP to your checkpoint? At least that's what i understood from the one-time-appears description. I was learning and practicing for bear drinking beers, men taking women's fruits and all of a sudden, i start seeing boyfriend giving gifts, markets not being shops etc. Long live my 25 lingots :/

Also if you keep at Duo, you'll soon have more lingots than you know what to do with. So don't worry too much about the 25.

The progress quizzes for all languages test the whole of the course of that language in order to get an indication of your progress through the course as a whole, and so your score should increase as you go through the course rather than based only on what you have already covered.

So it's more of a learn through quiz-ing , especially for beginners like me, due to the many new words.

I don't think the progress quizzes are designed for you to learn anything through them, they're just there to test you to see what you have learnt already

Then an extended description should be added, mentioning that the quiz is a 1 time use, has no time limit and it is a quiz for the WHOLE language being learned.

It's a 1 time only test? Lucky I didn't do it yet, I'm still far from completing my tree. Too bad you can't do your test later, that's a bummer.

If it is Lingots you want, I am glad to help with that. Here is one. If want a couple of hundred I would gladly give them to you! The question, as I understand it, is the aim of the test. As I understand it, your point is that it would be great to be able to test how well you have done over the part of the course you have already completed. That would be nice to have. But that would be a little complex to have tests for each level in the tree. Plus, and here is the key point for me: completing the tree may seem huge when looking upwards from the beginning. Yet, the whole tree is really only rather the beginning of the intermediate level. And you will be done with it soon enough. At that point the test will be only over what you have studied.
