I know there are lots of posts asking "which level can I get to with Duo?", but as Esperanto is constructed and an easy language (especially for Romance language speakers), I would like to hear from someone that has finished the course about the speaking part it takes you too. Also, if anyone that has done the course has been to any Esperanto meetings, something I think of doing in the future.

Thanks!

I've heard stories bouncing around that there have been a couple of people who, after finishing the course, spoke Esperanto the whole time they were at a gathering.

Personally, I think the course will get you to a decent level. My vocabulary is pretty wanting but it gets you pretty solid on the grammar, I think.

There's also that girl who rushed through the Esperanto tree and had a (labored) conversation with Evildea. Overall quite impressive.

Haven't finished the course, but I'm not even halfway through the tree and I can already follow long with chatrooms with occasional checking of a dictionary. Maybe this can give you an idea of how far the course will take you before people who've finished the course can come along and answer.
