In the SKILL: Nature An exercise where we have to Match three pairs of words One pair was di/wooden - how come?

I understand if something is wooden then 'di' is used when describing a wooden object but is this a match?

I think it's incorrect. Wooden is "di legno" together, not just "di" separately. "Di" means "from", and also has many other meanings, but not "wooden".

Well, it is a year later and I just hit the same problem. I imagine that it is trying to do "di legno" and the second word is being dropped.

I assume you are using the phone app... I find that the tap the pairs exercises on the app are often wrong. If all else fails just pick all the ones that are correct and the last two remaining choices are the "right" ones. I guess it is significant that we are learning enough to know that the answers are wrong :-)

So true, thanks for your input. Up until now I have ignored the many errors which are usually of a plural/singular nature. But di/wooden was just too wrong to ignore.

I have seen some really bad ones.. It seems that the app is somehow trying to make up the word pairs out of some of the sentences from the lesson. Sometimes it just picks up on the wrong word in the sentence and thinks that it should match. I find that it is much worse on English for Italian speakers lessons than non the Italian for English.

Similarly, I found "its = la" and "can't = puoi"; I flag "wrong" my answer every time, hoping a correction in the system
