Turkish News

Herkese merhaba!

I'd like to practice my Turkish while reading, watching, and listening to Turkish news. What news outlets, websites, and apps would you recommend?

And here are some TV channels, just google the names. I think they all have links for "Canlı Yayın" on their websites:

Pro-AKP:

TRT Haber, A Haber, 24 TV, Ülke TV

Mostly supports the government, but not so "openly":

NTV, Habertürk TV, Bloomberg HT

Middle Ground:

CNN Türk

Mostly critical of the government:

Halk TV (close to CHP), IMC Tv (close to HDP), Hayat Tv (close to EMEP), Samanyolu Haber (critical of the government since 2013, belongs to the "Cemaat")

Here are some newspapers for you. :)

1) Left-wing, anti-AKP for the most of the time (my preference, to be honest)

Sol Haber, http://haber.sol.org.tr

Diken, http://www.diken.com.tr

Birgün, http://www.birgun.net

Evrensel, http://www.evrensel.net

Bianet, http://bianet.org

Cumhuriyet, http://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr (This one is not necessarily left-wing, but is mostly critical of the government and is one of the oldest newspapers in Republican Turkey)

2)Middle-ground, sometimes in support of the government and sometimes, I would say, liberal

Radikal, http://www.radikal.com.tr (this one is more liberal than the other ones)

Hürriyet, http://www.hurriyet.com.tr

Zaman, http://www.zaman.com.tr/haber (Well, this one belongs to the "Gülenist Cemaat", and this "Cemaat", usually called "the Service" had very close relations with the AKP government up until 2013, just Google "Gulenist-AKP Clash" if interested. So after 2013, this newspaper became one of the opposition newspapers in Turkey)

Sözcü, http://www.sozcu.com.tr (I didn't know where to put this one. This one is neither left-wing, nor liberal but is anti-AKP, but at the same time quite against HDP-the Kurdish Party)

3) Pro-AKP

Sabah, http://www.sabah.com.tr

Yeni Akit, http://www.yeniakit.com.tr (This is basically crap to be honest, haha. I sometimes read articles published there just for a laugh.)

Yeni Şafak, http://www.yenisafak.com (The same goes for this one.)

Türkiye, http://www.turkiyegazetesi.com.tr

Takvim, http://www.takvim.com.tr

Akşam, http://www.aksam.com.tr
