I just think it's so cool how people hate some languages that other people love and the other way around. I've heard someone say they didn't like Swedish but I LOVE the way it sounds and the grammar and stuff. It's one of my favorite languages to learn. Also, I absolutely despise the French pronunciation but I've heard someone say it's the most beautiful language they've ever heard. Again, people often say Germans sound horrible but that's another language I love! Actually, come to think of it, I just seem to not like the flowy kinda languages and I like the more harsh ones! Lol, but that's just me.

I truly love Esperanto but I'm not crazy about how it sounds. I do love the sound of French. All languages sound better when they are spoken by women, it seems to me.

Personally, I think British English is spoken better by men. :)

Yes! I totally agree with you. Esperanto is okay with me, but I just don't see the use of it because it's not spoken in any country.

I never hate a whole language, but I often dislike certain parts of it, like French pronunciation. I don't like German grammar, either, but that doesn't stop me from learning it!

I won't listen to the opinion of someone that says they hate a language. What the hell use is that to me, is that their only defining characteristic, the fact that they hate something? Good for them, I hope that serves them well in life.

My favorite foreign language is Russian. Hungarian has an interesting sound to it, as do Japanese and Chinese. I can't stand Spanish (I had horrible experiences with it), and for that matter, most of the Romance languages as a result (but not Latin). German sounds kind of familiar, but kind of harsh and strange with all of those ch's and umlauts. Arabic sounds like people choking, to be honest. Too hard to prononuce. As for all of the other languages out there (Scandinavian languages, Hindi, Inuktitut, anything else I haven't mentioned), I'm kind of indifferent. But then again, Slavic languages are kind of fun.

I love languages in general, I don't hate any of them. If any of these attempts to create a universal language like Esperanto ever succeeded it would be a very sad loss.

Having said that, there is something special about the Slavic languages.

People love different pronunciations. They are the first impressions given by spoken languages. I too like German's pronunciations better than French's and I don't even think German sounds beautiful to me, maybe just natural, decisive and has rhythm. But the good thing is pronunciations do not keep me from loving both. After all we are capable of overcoming first impressions and loving what lies beyond.

Really? I can't stand all of their ъs. They throw them in seemingly every word! "Let's have a ъ fest!" said the Bulgarians.

I love the certain assertive air that German and Russian accents have. I adore them to pieces ~

I seem to be attracted to that too. Interesting how German and Russian sound so different, though.

Definitely ~ I will either attempt Russian after I complete German, or even Polish, simply because it's similar to Russian, yet... I don't know. I think I'm intrigued by its lack of vowels in its written language. Ahaha.

However, Finnish is up on my list too! Want to learn it so I can visit my Finnish relatives ~

I also like harsh languages like German. Although I like the romance languages I am not overly impressed by the sounds unlike a lot of people who absolutely love the flow. Norwegian is probably my favourite I am not even sure why.

I can't stand the sound of french. (Edit: I've changed my mind, it doesn't sound so bad haha) Apart from my native language (spanish), the only romance language that I like is italian, I prefer the germanic ones.
