Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Why are my discussions being deleted?

Why are my discussions being deleted?

Earlier I posted a discussion and when I click the link it says 'Error 404'...

I haven't deleted it and I didn't post anything inappropriate.

Please answer my question.

Thankyou

It has happened to me once, too. Not language-related discussions are considered off-topic and usually deleted after a while. I didn't know it either until it happened to me. ;)

Even wierder: On my ipad 5 minutes ago there was a post from this user in this thread with their current user name: mynameischelsay. But now it's back to IprayforParis with a 404. Go figure. Something odd is definitely happening on the programming side.

It was probably down voted and was probably considered inappropriate for Duolingo. You can find Duo's rules about use of the forums here http://duolingo.wikia.com/wiki/Duolingo_Wiki

Oh, and if it is the "what is que" question - did you post it in the Spanish forum? If it was posted in Troubleshooting it definitely would have been removed for being far off topic. Troubleshooting is to report and get help on technical bugs with the program.
