I think that in a business situation, which is the very context in which you would use this sentence, you are expected to speak formally. Using the informal would probably be viewed as downright unprofessional.
See, I don't think this question has to be necessarily in a business situation. Other than that I agree. But I've certainly asked and been asked similar questions plenty of times in casual conversations.
The question is about production of goods. If a producer is your friend, you can use the informal here for informal situations. Report it next time.
The problem with the Russian tree is that on some questions the moderators do absolutely NOTHING with fixing the problems, let alone leaving a reply.
