Который here would sound with a bit of pathos and is less common in a daily speech. Also a possible translation, though
I'm confused. If "ряд" is masculine, shouldn't we be asking "какой этот ряд"? It seems like this sentence would be asking 'what is this, a row?'.
"Kакой этот ряд?" would translate as something like "what this row?" which doesn't make a lot of sence. I can only imagine someone asking "Где этот ряд?" and another person answering "Какой "этот " ряд?"
