Is "Какой ряд это?" wrong?

It's not wrong, just less common

Not accepting который????

Который here would sound with a bit of pathos and is less common in a daily speech. Also a possible translation, though

I've also tried который!

Can "это что за спор?" not be a valid translation?

I'm confused. If "ряд" is masculine, shouldn't we be asking "какой этот ряд"? It seems like this sentence would be asking 'what is this, a row?'.

"Kакой этот ряд?" would translate as something like "what this row?" which doesn't make a lot of sence. I can only imagine someone asking "Где этот ряд?" and another person answering "Какой "этот " ряд?"

Какой этот ряд? sounds weird! Какой это ряд? - is absolutely common question. For example, you can hear it in a cinema when the lights are already low and the movie has started.

Что это за ряд? - not accepted

Differences in какой, каков, что это за and который are very confusing. I guess it's on the lines of what kind of/what it's like/which one it is but still...
