Latin

Up-vote this post if you think that Doulingo should have a Latin course. I would appreciate it if there would be no down-votes so that I can see how many people actually want it, not a subtracted number. Thanks you guys!

Some people will probably downvote it, but just hope not.

Especially because it's the 907th post (or so it feels) about Latin.

It would be better if everyone upvoted just one post about each language.... that would be more meaningful than tallying up all the upvotes over all those posts and wondering whether anyone voted on more than one of them.

Apparently Latin is spoken in the world's smallest nation - Vatican city. Things do get small with the ancient lingos, eh?

Yes, but having Klingon? Seriously? No one actually needs to know that.

You can speak Latin, I don't know who you would speak it with but it's possible

No one speaks it anymore, but it is part of the "foundation" of English and many other languages, since it was one of the first languages.

Latin would be great for many reasons. For one, as many others have pointed out, it would help people gain a base for other romantic languages. It would also be useful for those who are interested in the classics and want to read ancient and medieval literature. I would certainly go for it.
