Why isn't article displayed in front of nouns in Words (German)

It would be simple to insert the appropriate article in front of each word listed under Heading - Words. That way memorizing the correct article - gender would be easier and available at a glance. Instead, now you have to click at each word to get a new window in which this info is displayed. Too complicated and less effective.

I agree it's needed. As far as I'm concerned the way it is currently makes Words - and Flashcards which also don't give the article - pretty useless.

That is an essential feature that Duolingo is missing! I would also like to see the plural form in some way, closed in parenthesis after the noun maybe?

That's a good idea - I hope it may happen!

I definitely agree, since the plural forms are numerous it would be very helpful to see plural form at a glance.

I have a book that has it like this:

Die Hand (¨e)

Which is really helpful. I definitely think it's a good idea!

I quite agree .... for me the hardest thing to learn is the gender, and your suggestion would be very helpful.

Yeah, Duolingo really isn't that great a tool when trying to learn the genders. Gender should be there in the mouseover hints also.

Without a doubt. Amazing that it isn't to be honest.

If you have trouble with memorizing gender of words (or any words in particular:), you should check this course that follows Duo, it helped me a lot:

this looks great, thank you! just goes to prove how it easy it would be for Duolingo to include the article with the noun
