Why didn't it let me use je instead of jouw? I see it like all over the place in colloquial language

Should have been accepted since it is in the system, except if you started the sentence with "u".

In my opinion the proposed Dutch translation sounds awful with "jij" and "jouw" 'fighting' together to get the most attention. I would say "Jij schrijft je naam ..." (with emphasis on "jij") or "Je schrijft jouw naam ..." (with emphasis on "jouw"), but usually just neutrally "Je schrijft je naam ...".
