Mnemonics would be nice

I'm taking a Polish course at Memrise and there are suggested mnemonics for words, and they've helped me a lot. I'm not really good at inventing my own so I've been using the one's they've suggested, mostly.

IMO it would be nice if there was a mnemonics link when you hover over a word at Duolingo, different mnemonics suggested by users. They really save time and effort.

Somebody else's mnemonics probably wouldn't work for me. It has to have significance for me. For example, I keep forgetting the gender of prison and orange. So, I think of "Orange is the New Black." I've not seen the show, but know that it's about women in prison. Therefore, orange is feminine and prison is feminine.

Also, the more extreme/vulgar/violent/disgusting/etc the mnemonic is, the more it will fix in your memory... so they are probably best kept private.

I know people who are against mnemonics, because whenever they speak the word, they think of the mnemonic as well and it can get distracting.

So I'd be against suggested mnemonics.

Everyone is, of course, free to make their own.
