Why is 'eat another egg' not accepted? 'eat an egg again' sounds off, doesnt it?

I believe "another egg" = "bir di─čeri yumurta"

To my ear, "eat another egg" implies you've just eaten at least one egg and you're being asked to eat one more. While "Eat an egg again" gives a little more space between. Maybe you had eggs for breakfast yesterday, or last month... and it's being suggested that you do that again. But that's just my humble opinion. :-)

"eat an egg again" is a 'command', how does one 'invite' someone to "eat another egg" in Turkish?

You can make more polite requests using the aorist tense. "Bir yumurta daha yer misiniz?" :)

"Eat an egg again" sounds strange in English. "Eat another egg" should be accepted.
