Why is it incorrect to say 'kjører du ski slalåm'?

Would this be used for sports other than skiing? Kjører is locked in my head as "drive" now, so my first thought on this was slalom car-racing (autocross).

I'm guessing this is generally a phrase people slaloming would use, but in the right context it could probably be said by people zigzagging in a vehicle.

This makes me think of how many snowboarders and skiers refer to their sport as "riding". It's very contextual.

Jeg ville brukt frasen "Står du slalom".

Jeg sier "å stå slalåm" og "å kjøre utfor".
