Why isn't my fluency increasing?

What makes your Duolingo fluency increase? Mine has been stuck at 48% for weeks despite daily lessons and practice.

Don't mind the fluency rating. It's usually inaccurate.

LOL...I don't think the thing goes past 60% (Where mine is perpetually stuck at) anyway. Don't sweat it.

Thanks. I'm re-doing the tree to improve weak areas but the more I do it, the less fluency I have.

I felt the same way. The more I strengthen my weak words the lower my fluency level goes. I'm only on day 11 though. LOL. A long way to go...... :)

My fluency was higher at Level 23 and 24 than it was when I finished Level 25! Like the man says, ignore it. It's sort of silly.

I'd like to know how the 'Fluency' is calculated too - I'm not finished HouseHold yet but my fluency is 38% I'm aware it isn't a be all and end all number, but it'd be nice to know how the number is achieved.

Ok, I have an answer - I have now upped my fluency to 47% and I'm still not done with Household yet...how? Just go and redo all the old lessons, not the strength tests, the actual 'redo' lessons. It seems to be calculated on how often you complete them.
