The Point of Learning Spanish
Let me tell you something, last year, I got to mentor kids from Mexico. All They could speak, was spanish. I only knew bits of it then. You must learn other languages so you can communicate with all people. Don't you agree? I am going to try to learn lots of languages. That would be very helpful. And just remember, your not learning spanish just for fun, your using it to help out in life sooner, or later.

I helped start a youth non-profit a while back. At the moment, there are no Spanish speakers in it. I'm hoping someday I can use my skills to benefit the organization. :)
I tried a club 2 years ago and I got 1 spanish speaker! It was really cool. That is what inspired me to start learning spanish. Now that i know SO much I'm teaching my little sister who is only 5.
Alexa, there are many reasons to learn Spanish or any foreign language. Helping young kids is a wonderful reason, and good for you!
Another reason is so that when you travel to another country, you can better communicate with the people who live there. When I have traveled to Spanish-speaking countries, it has been very helpful, I have made new friends, and enjoyed the experiences at a higher level than I would have otherwise.
Another good reason is that studying a language other than your own has been shown to be good for your brain, and slow down the progression of dementia.
Here is an interesting article for you to read that talks a little about it: http://www.emedexpert.com/tips/brain.shtml
