Can you say "У твой брат есть дом."??
no because you need to use the genitive case.
Why not "home"? I am not a native speaker in English, so can someone explain it to me?
House and home mean the same same thing, however, in Britain, if we will say "this is my family home" not house as home implies a connection and house is generic. But do not worry you can use either, i am just nit picking.
Why not своего
Is "Your brother owns a house" too much of a stretch?
