Music help? (Español/Italiano)
Does anyone have any recommendations for Spanish or Italian music? I like rock, electronic, new age, dance and rap but I'm not too picky about genres. As long as you can point out one noteworthy artist that would help me at least a little. Por favor y gracias!/Per favore, grazie!
Very beautiful and interesting song, thank you very much!
This is really good music, thanks for the suggestions!
I don't like Spanish music, so sorry :/
If you want to know about french let me know :)
I'm open to any language and I know I didn't ask for French but if you have anything to share for French music then I'd be interested to hear them. My favorite New Age music is actually composed by a French man.
French I like these groups :
Carrousel - try this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8OScMXEubE
And these songs :
Good music, I'm glad you shared, merci. :)
I'll check it out later, thanks for the Italian music.
Ah, muchas gracias! Ellos tienen buena música! Me gusta también. :)
Manu Chao es un otro grupo que me gusta. Cantan en español y también francés. La música tiene mucho energía
Wow, thank you for this! This is a good song.
I can also give you links to some good Russian music if you're interested. :-)
I'm interested in Russian music! A good friend of mine is learning Russian. If you don't post it here, maybe start a separate thread for it. Please and thank you :)
I'd be interested in whatever you have to share, Italian and otherwise. :)
Would you be interested in Russian and Polish (with some Ukrainian mixed in) folk music? That's what most of it is, but I can give you a link to a discussion thread with Russian rock. There's also some good cartoons around that I can give you links to. I'll go dig out some of my favourite Italian operas. :-)
I haven't listened to much folk music, but I'll try it out, and I'd like the Russian rock link too. Thanks!

If you want more folk music, I have tons of links, mostly to individual songs, with a few concerts thrown in. :-)
I like to listen to Italian opera on cd and follow along in the libretto printed in Italian with English translation. I will buy the opera cd only if it comes with a printed libretto booklet. Some operas come with the libretto on a bonus cd. I never buy those because who wants to listen to an opera sitting in front of a computer. If you are not familiar with Italian opera I would first buy an opera on dvd or Bluray that includes English translation. Then when you know the story move on to the cd with translation booklet wherein you can read the entire libretto in English alongside the Italian.
Buika - Jazzy Calypso Bluesy Wonderful.
No Habra Nadie en el Mundo
Fito y Fitipaldis - Sings about blue collar people, mostly. Real life.
Interesting list, thank you for sharing!
Have you listended to La vela Puerca? I've only heard one song before, El viejo, which I really like. I started listening to more of their songs yesterday and I think they are pretty good too.
There is a great cd out there by Placido Domingo called Bajo el Cielo Español. I love the music and best of all it comes with a booklet with lyrics printed in Spanish with English translation.
