I don't know why anybody would combine these two, but OK.
Fish fingers and custard! Look it up :P
Meal and dessert
As I am British, I would not say cookie. I would say biscuit. We have savoury biscuits that I eat with fish.
Why is it not possible to say 'ryby i ciastka'?
It should be, just report it.
It's possible now. I just did it. (((:
What is ciastka? So far, this site has said ciasteczka means cookies.
Yeah it should be
Was wondering that
So, ciasteczko = singular ciasteczka = plural?
Why ryby and not ryba
In English, as there's no more context, both make sense and are accepted.
Could the program writers add the vocal pronounciation to the selected choices . (Throughout the course) It would be very helpfull so we get used to hearing it . (Programming our brains)
Such questions belong in the Duolingo forum (the general one), not just a discussion in a specific course - here no one that has some power will read it ;)
Together at last!
shouldn't "ryby i ciasteczka" be "fishes and cookies" instead of fish and....
Well, "fishes" is a rarely used form in English, the plural of 'fish' is usually 'fish'.
