Never to late!

My daughter introduced me to this site. Brushing up now on my French. Wish they had this back in my day!

I agree it would have made my German result so much better in school :) keep at it, I've learned more on this site in a few weeks than I did in school

Maybe I may revisit German next.

It was my daughter who introduced me also (and then she gave it up :)) I hope you enjoy your Duo. experience as much as I have.

Welcome to the fold!
I took four years of French at school, more than 30 years ago. I'm now slowly digging all of it up again. ;)

Well I'm impressed with your progress, I think Sister Claudette throwing a board rubber at me didn't help!

Same here! I never learned French at school, but I took some courses later, and learned to understand some, but somehow never really got into it.

I finished my French for English speakers course here about two years ago, and have since finished the Spanish for French speakers course (which was also good for my French), and can now read actual novels in French (with a dictionary, but without too much hassle).

I agree! Duolingo would have been a lovely addition to language learning in my school days.

Poor teaching methods back in my convent school days led to lack of learning on my part.
