Translate spoken sentences

As you get better at a language, it becomes really easy to recognise spoken words. To keep the learning level up, I think a good next step would be to translate a spoken sentence in the target language, to the language you're learning from. That way, you'd have to do two things at once, making the listening part even more automatic. What do you think?

I'd rather not do that. Listening comprehension is important, but at some point I want to get to the stage where I just understand a sentence in the "new" language without actually translating it.
If it were at all possible, I'd rather have a "listen and reply" feature using only the target language.

Some of the exercises that I do here ask me to do this.
