I though it would be even easier. But he couldn't avoid exceptions and some other typical difficulties... :(

I finished my tree a month or so ago (the same day Russian was released). I thought it was quite easy but not as easy as I expected. There were still some areas I struggled a lot in and would actually say that I am finding Norwegian and Portuguese easier. However, I have not finished those trees so they probably get harder at the end. Overall though, Esperanto is a pretty easy language to pick up and I like the language and find it interesting as well.

I keep trying to use French spellings of words that sound similar :/

About half way done, I'm practicing the stuff I already know so it really sinks in before I go any farther, but yeah, it's definitely easier than other languages because of the simple simple syntax and grammar. Like, you don't need the wonderful bescherelle to conjugate words, or all the weird rules English has.
