Idea: Make lesson descriptions a wiki
Some lessons don't have descriptions, others could use some improvement. Why not make them editable to everyone or some subset of users?
The simplest form would be to allow editing for everyone and show changes immediately. This could work if reverting was easy and vandalism was rare.
If most edits were not helpful, some threshold could be used. Maybe allow editing to users that completed the tree or reached some level, or have them pay with lingots.
In any case, forum moderators or the course contributors could potentially take care of approving edits before they become visible to everybody.
Or maybe people wouldn't be interested in editing lesson descriptions at all?
Anyway, I’m just going to leave this here.
That's a good idea but for sure, it's impossible to just let people change like they want to. Hopefully, I see an option. We could have a place where we can see the change that someone want to do and upvote it or not, at a certain number of point, the suggestion go ti the moderator who decide what to do with it. Good or bad idea?
Bad idea because of sockpuppets, I think.
If we require 20 points, some people will create 20 alternate accounts and upvote their own idea.
On the other hand, this would be crazy on their part to go through such a hassle just to post gibberish.
Unless we are talking about spammers, trying to post links etc. But whether this is an issue, could probably be judged to some extent by looking at discussion forums, since anybody can already post anything they want as a comment to any sentence, or in general forums.
