Norwegian tree complete!

After a 107-day madcap streak, just finished (and kept gilded! woo!) my Norwegian tree. What started as a simple dare among coworkers has turned into my new daily addiction, which probably would not have happened if it weren't for the humor, involvement, and skills of the Bokmål team. So... tusen takk, you utrolig bunch, and I look forward to seeing what you have planned for 2.0... ^__^

CONGRATS!! {@style=color: salmon}

That's impressive, finishing your tree, kept gilded! Good luck on your other trees!

Gratulerer! So wonderful that you enjoyed the tree!

Good job! Continue that great work!

Congratulations! I love learning Norwegian and also find that the Norwegian team did a very good job in creating an excellent course.

Gratulerer! I was curious about the result of finishing the tree: what is your Norwegian level after finishing it in almost 3 months?

Honestly, better than I thought it would be, at least productive language. I can usually quickly form sentences out of the vocab from the course, but because I only have one also-learner to practice with, I'm not sure how good my receptive language/conversational skills would be. The next step will probably be to listen to more Norwegian-language media and try to boost my aural skills.

The daily strategy I used was essentially to re-gild everything that had faded, then move ahead to the new stuff, with a flexible daily limit of 100 XP. I do not recommend this for the faint of heart; I only stuck to it because I'm slightly obsessive with frequent long train commutes, and by the end I was just muscling through it to get it done. ;) But that constant review kept a lot of stuff fresh.

Congratulations!!! :)
