Why I can´t translate this "It is too early" ? Far too eraly sounds rare to me......but I am not native speaker
for = too
altfor = far/way/much/all too
"Far too early" is fine and heard all the time in British English.
How to differentiate between the sound of de and det?
De (they) = dee (as when you say the letter D, which rhymes with sea)
Det (it) = de' (like pronuncing only "de" of detriment)
Thanks Gry! I for some reason started out thinking i had heard 'de' as /dei/ but very short and the vowel clipped, but the past couple days have been hearing /di/ as you just explained.. wasnt sure if i was going crazy!
Tfw its 6:37 am; definitely too early
