You get a FREE airfare voucher to a country that speaks the language you just leaned. Not really, but it would be very motivating, wouldn't it?

What happens when you're done with the tree? 1) You cheer for a bit. 2) Then some skill halfway down the tree turns something else than gold, and you just go right back to practicing. 3) Maybe you do the reverse tree (ie. if you've done English --> Spanish, you start "learning" Spanish --> English for practice). 4) And of course there is the real world out there waiting for you: immersion translation, reading, talking to people, etc.

I finished my tree about two weeks ago I think. I'm now working to practice all the words that are marked as weak, and to get a better hang of all the tenses I've learned here. I plan to keep all my vocabulary at full strength, hopefully spaced repetition should work here and I would be able to practice less often as the time goes by. Then I'm going to translate some stuff, continue reading a book and maybe watch some movies :)

Go onto another language, and keep at the one your doing. Always good to practice.

I'm trying to get to level 25, then I'm going to focus on completeing the mirror course (I'm doing English to Spanish, mirror course is Spanish to English.) In addition, I will spend time in Immersion, translating documents. I want to become skilled enough to translate the commercial articles that make it possible for people to use Duolingo for free. :D
