Kio estas la diferenco inter "grupo" kaj "aro"?

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Gresillon.org

'grupo' is a common word in many languages, see http://vortaro.net/#grupo

'aro' is a generic suffixe normally used if there is a special word in other languages as forest for arbaro or homaro for humanity, see http://vortaro.net/#aro

still not clear...

To translate 'group', use only 'grupo'.
There is no clear translation for 'aro' into English.
'-ar-' is a suffix to be used combined with another root word like : abelaro, arbaro, estraro, hararo, homaro, libraro, ŝafaro, ŝtuparo, tendaro, vagonaro ....

rilato = relation interrilato = between-relation = relationship But I am told thatI am wrong in translating "rilato" -> "relation"

Difficult to explain clearly the differences between 'rilato', 'interrilato' and its English translations.
Use only 'rilato' in normal context. 'Interrilato' emphasizes on the 'between'.

Well! I didn't think about consulting ReVo. But it clearly states that there need to be some kind of possitive agreement between the parts, in order to use interrilato.

Wouldn't a better translation of this be "There is a bad relationship between the two groups." or Estas malbona rilato inter la du grupoj.

I wouldn't say that it's better, but, to me, your wording seems more natural and was just accepted for me; 28.08.21

Should "The 2 groups have a bad relationship" be a correct answer?

This sentence has the same meaning. But it's not the translation since it uses other words.

Respublikanoj kaj Demokratianoj.

https://www.duolingo.com/profile/Gresillon.org

Ankaŭ t.n. Respublikanoj estas plimalpli demokratoj :-)

why oh why should I include a 'there' into the sentence??
