Yeah, adding a очка into some words, and lots of names, is used colloquially, and usually when you know someone really well. Ирина goes to Ира, then Ирочка. Some words and names take ёш, - Алёша. юш - Настюша..all sorts of ways to make names and words silly. I even had a girl tell me спасибочка once.

Дочь is correct, it is also supported. Дочка is usually child. 'ка' is as a diminutive and affectionate suffix here.
