Important feature: choose what to train

Hi, I believe duolingo should add the possibility of training a specific aspect of the language such as listening only, or translating only. So if I choose listening, I will only get exercises where i have to write down what i listen.. etc. What do you think?

Duolingo wants to expose you to all aspects of the language. You won't get as far if you only know how to listen or read it, etc. However, you can turn off listening and speaking in the settings, if you'd like. Also, as for just translating, you could use immersion.

Well, with a language like Danish listening becomes an essential skill to train, and when I have to translate from danish to english it's too simple and I'd like to turn it off. No allways, but only when I feel that it doesn't add to my learning.

I've thought that as well. Mostly because the speaking does not come as easily in certain languages and I wouldn't mind having a speaking only review once in while.
