Nice find. Because of how the tiers work, there must be another user at level 313 or higher. I wonder who his partner is.

Edit: Found him, crsabbi. Currently at 315.

royalhalo and lingo99 currently have a French translation tier of 271. I believe those are the highest around by quite a large margin.

Edit: See EricCB's response in this thread.

royalhalo may also have the most lingots on Duolingo - I didn't know that anybody already reached 5 digits. I'm only halfway there ...

Professor01 has the most I'm aware of, with almost 20k. No clue if that's anywhere near the highest though.

Do you know how they got so many? The best way I know to get a lot of lingots is to have a long streak, but my streak is almost as long as theirs and I only have a fraction of their lingots. As far as I can see, their are no lingots awarded for high translation tiers. Or are they writing so many useful comments that people just give them to them?

Not that it really matters, everybody with a streak of several hundred days probably has more than enough lingots.

I'd guess that Professor01 got many of his by submitting articles for translation in Immersion, since he's relatively active there. Between that, the streak, and finishing several trees, it's realistic to have earned that amount.
