Why is "something soon is going to happen" not correct? It means the same

That word order is very unnatural in English. To be fair I think the default translation (Soon something is going to happen) sounds pretty odd too and, personally, would put 'soon' at the end of the sentence.

Where you have 'soon', you'd normally have a word such as 'important', 'exciting' or 'dangerous' etc etc.
