Translation: Where do I sleep?

Is this a riddle? "You see three beds. What do you think, where do I sleep?"

"Thanks for letting me stay for the night. So... where exactly am I supposed to sleep?".

Shouldn't that be translated to "Where am I sleeping" or "Where am I going to sleep"?

I think this doesn't go 'exactly according to the grammar rules' ;) It souns a bit colloquial this way, but I asked my British colleague and she said she doesn't have a problem with it.
