Shouldn't it have been 'mye vondt'?

'vondt' is an adverb (it literally translates as something like 'painfully') so it is modified with 'veldig' (very painfully). But usually the most natural English translation uses 'hurts' or 'sore' or 'pain'.

I don't get why “severe pain” isn't accepted.
