Isnt "bad pain" also an acceptable translation

Very painful is a better translation.

Shouldn't it have been 'mye vondt'?

'vondt' is an adverb (it literally translates as something like 'painfully') so it is modified with 'veldig' (very painfully). But usually the most natural English translation uses 'hurts' or 'sore' or 'pain'.

I get it...kind of.

I don't get why “severe pain” isn't accepted.
