Chríochnaigh mé mo chrann

  • 1205

(Corrected version) Yaay.

Fuair mé mo chead ulchabhán tar éis bliain amhain ag obair agus tá an dath óir ag gach duilleog i mo chrann (anois).

Go raibh maith agaibh ag gach duine san fhoireann Gaeilge, agus ag gach daoine atá ag cúidiú le daoine eile ar an bhfóram.

Bhí thaithí iontach í seo agus táim ag fanacht anois leis an gcrann nua.

(And now let those corrections be heard please, I know I must've made a couple of mistakes here.)

(Original) Chríoch mé mo chrann

Yaay.

Fuair mé mo ulchabhán céad tar éis bliain amhain na obair agus tá gach duilleog i mo chrann ór (anois).

Go raibh maith agaibh á gach daoine sa foireann Gaeilge, agus á gach daoine ag cuidiú lena daoine eile ar an fóram.

Bhí thaithí hiontach í anseo agus táim ag fanacht anois don chrann nua.

First off: Comhghairdeachas leat!

Now, corrections:

Chríochnaigh mé mo chrann

Fuair mé mo chéad ulchabháin tar éis bliana ag obair* ... i mo chrann óir (ór is a noun, not an adjective)

Go raibh maith ag gach duine sa(n) bhf(h)oireann Gaeilge agus ag gach duine atá ag cúidiú le daoine eile ar an bhf(h)óram

Ba thaithí iontach í seo agus tá mé ag fanacht leis an gcrann nua

tá gach duilleog i mo chrann ór (anois).

This is one of those phrases that you might structure differently in Irish:

Tá dath an óir ar gach duilleog i mo chrann

It makes it clear that you're talking about mo chrann not mo crann óir.

(I don't know why there's a definite article in dath an óir - it's not used with other colours)

As galaxyrocker pointed out, ór is a noun, not an adjective, so dath órga is "a golden colour" whereas dath an óir is "the colour of gold" - either phrase should work.

And one more thing that you missed from galaxyrockers notes - it's gach duine not gach daoine.

Maith thú!
