That is always a good question, considering how damaging they are and especially when there is no correction given. Unfortunately, there is no way to ask the giver, which makes it even more hurtful. One of the worst parts of the program, in my opinion
I had over a hundred days - and then the internet connection went out for 24 hours. Streak gone. Yep gutted describes it.

Awe that sucks! And here I felt bad over losing my 5 day streak lol! I know Ill likely miss a day here or there, so Im shooting for at least beating my last streak...that way its still motivational.
I lost a 99 day streak a few months ago. I was gutted! I was so close to a hundred! Building it back up now. I will soon achieve that 100!!
I lost 290+ streak about three or four days ago despite working on duo as usual and having streak freeze (also lost). I bought another streak freeze. Lost. The old and new wagers were lost and duo is not adding up the days since. I contacted duo and they suggested I reinstall flash, turn off add ons and plug ins etc. I did this. It made no difference. I reported the issue a second time. I have had no response. I agree, there are bigger problems to worry about, but that does not prevent this from being very annoying and dis-incentivising. I looked the problem up on the internet: it seems to be quite common and no one has a solution for it.
if you have the app on your phone go to set clock manually reset the date to the day you lost it and carry out a lesson,,,might work ^^
Nice try, but this won't work.
Apparently, DL sets your time zone based on your current time zone when you sign up. So once it is set, there is no changing it!
