I've heard that everyone has "their own foreign language." True, no one can argue that certain languages are more difficult than others, but what I'm saying is that some languages will come to you personally better than others. Someone told me that everyone has a language that they just love. Lots of people have said that Esperanto is easiest, but it will be hard for you if you force yourself to study it and you hate it. If you are clueless on which language to choose, I would suggest trying a whole bunch of them and continuing with one that you really like :-)

Dutch can be an easy language to learn. There are a lot of similar words between Dutch and English. It is not that hard to understand. I have heard that esperanto can be easy, but I have never tried it. Although Esperanto seems to have similar words to Spanish. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Esperanto gets a lot of words from German too, in my experience of learning both. For example:

tago = Tag = day

legi = lesen = to read

sxati = sch├Ątzen = to like

nur = nur = only

kontroli = kontrollen = to check/control

klavaro = Klavier = keyboard

I don't know many Esperanto words so those are all I can think of

Esperanto is about as simple as it gets, assuming you want more than 120 words.
