My biggest achievement is not being afraid to speak to native speakers! In addition to getting back on Duolingo:)

I joined Duolingo, made good progress on my tree, got to Level 30 in French Immersion, joined classes at a local community college, and spent two weeks in an immersion program in France. Reviving my old French knowledge was my New Year's resolution for 2015 and I appreciate the boost Duolingo gave me.

Wow. That is wonderful. Next year I am joining German school. I think that will really help as well.

I've had a very good language learning year this past year. In summer, after a year of seriously studying Japanese I did the Japanese Language Proficiency Test on N4 level, and... managed a perfect score (somehow xP??) ^^!

On top of that, I joined Duolingo in September, which has been tremendous fun. I am doing Danish (which I am completely in love with now), and just finished the tree on my 100 day streak :D! Double success! Now working on reviewing and getting it completely gold.

New year's resolution is definitely to keep working hard on both of them.

Good luck to all of you working towards your goals in the new year :) :) :)!

This year has gone amazingly well. The language achievement I'm proudest of is getting over 90% on my German AS-level (qualification taken in the second-last year of school in England, usually a stepping stone to the full A-level used to get into uni or get a job). I've also done well conversing with native speakers and reading/watching German-language media. I can't wait to see what next year brings.

Congratulations to my fellow Duers, and all the best for 2016!

I got addicted in a bad way to Duolingo(I don't do lessons, I just read the discussion and check the incubator for new courses), I began learning Finnish and Icelandic but not on Duolingo. I found excellent Memrise courses. I am also soon starting a thing at my school where I teach languages to anyone interested.
