One year streak with tree times a golden owl. Today it came together
Thank you Duolingo this is the first app that I use every day. I am learning Italian and English simultaneously. In addition, I also go to school once a week to learn Italian and Duolingo helps me to practice every day. I had never done this otherwise I'm sure. I wish everyone a good and successful 2016 and a lot of fun with Duolingo
Congratulation for the 1 year streak! It must feel good knowing that you've been on Duolingo for one whole year in a row. I just started going on Duolingo 9 days ago trying to keep my streak as long as possible.
Tanti auguri! Buon fatto, spero che il prossimo anno ti portavà di succesi.
I'm not sure if you would feel ready for the challenge just yet, but it occurred to me I should share this idea with you while it was fresh on my mind. What do you think about the idea of taking the Italian for English speakers or English for Italian speakers? (You might have already done that, I don't know.)
I saw you mentioned Dutch is your native language so I just figured I'd suggest it to you in case you liked the idea and took Italian for Dutch speakers the first time. (I haven't looked so Italian for Dutch speakers might not even exist although I assume it does)
I've read of people doing "reverse trees" and such, so the fact that you are a native Dutch speaker who has learned/studied Italian and English made me wonder if using the "second" language other than your native Dutch would prove beneficial to use as the base for studying the other language or if it would be too difficult.
What do you think?
(I'm probably strongest in French right now compared with the other languages I'm studying, but I don't know if I'd be ready to take a "for French speakers" course on here just yet.)
You have already completed the tree three times! Wow!
Are you stronger in Italian than English then? Maybe the "English for Italian speakers" in this case?
I'm interested in learning what you think about this as well as hearing about the experiences of others who may have attempted something like this!
My struggle would probably be to resist the instinct to think in English first instead of the second language when learning the third one. However, it does seem I can finally think in other languages and I'm happy about that.
In any event, congratulations once again and Happy New Year to you as well as all who read this!
thank you for your reply. First I want to finish this tree to just level 25 then do some tests and then the inverted tree. besides Duolingo I learn italian at school Dante Alighieri. English we learned at school in the Netherlands we watch English movies and read English books so the base is there by most Dutch people. Besides the older Dutch people. I still make too many mistakes in English that makes sense. My Italian is not better than I think my English, I am only one year working with this language but i am pretty good in italian so long as it is not too difficult. it is unfortunate that there is no Duolingo for Dutch-Italian especially grammar is different from Dutch . On the internet I follow tom txxytu a great inspiring boy. This year I am going twice to Italy in June and December, in December I go to Rome.Over June, we have not think yet. I wish you and your family also a wonderful 2016. Weila ragazzi.
