I was missing in the part of the tree where играть is first shown a bit of an explanation of how to use it.
If I am not wrong, we have: Играть + в + accusative (activities). E.g. я играю в футбол Играть + на + ???? (instruments). E.g. я играю на пянино
I would like to have a bit more of info/help on that! And I also think this should be included in the tree!
Also, I saw that in German we can see the conjugation of the verb: it would be amazing to have the same in Russian. We can always search in Google but it is more convenient to have it in the same place...
Thanks!! Amazing work nevertheless!
"Я играю в футбол", "Я играю на пианино" are right. When you speak about sports or games you should say "в", and when it's a musical instrument say "на". Most of people also would say "на" when it's "play on computer" or "play on xbox" like if it's an instrument too.
Then, just to make it explicit, we say "Я играю на пианино" because пианино is an indeclinable word. But it would be "Я играю на скрипке", for "I play violin". Am I right?
Just to address your last question; I believe the option to have the conjugation of the verb is only available in the original languages that Duolingo released. The incubated languages don't have it, it's not something missing from Russian, it's something missing from all incubated languages. Hopefully Duolingo will add these capabilities to incubated languages at some point.
Thanks for the tip! Let's hope they add the functionality soon, then!
