The perfect movie for the Swedish course

Now that I am closer to finishing the tree, I was watching again this movie and I noticed how everything or almost everything that's said there is covered by this course. One could think it was made to understand this movie!

It's "Simple Simon" ("I rymden finns inga känslor"). It's quite light and enjoyable, easily available with subtitles in both English and Swedish (as well as in some other languages), and as I said, it seems to be the perfect match for the course, so I thought you could be interested.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1686313/ If you grab the Swedish subtitles from opensubtitles.org be sure to get the ones with the highest number of downloads, as the other sub file is incomplete.

Enjoy!

Very cool, thank you! I am not very far along in Swedish, and have found it to be challenging. I will watch this movie, thank you!

Cool. Do you need a hulu plus to watch it?

Errr... I don't think it's available on hulu/netflix... I may be wrong, but I doubt you can find many movies in Swedish there...

Putlocker has a a lot of illegal and questionable links. Something people should keep in mind before choosing to click on it.

På engelska: Oh, damn, this is not the place for this, I know, I know, but I have to say it... so... I will try to write it in Swedish, and remain a bit on-topic... (My first "long" text written in Swedish!). I know this is no place to share links, and that moderators have to keep the page clean, but link sharing, or movie downloading, is not illegal everywhere, same as when you read a newspaper in a bar, or read a book in a library, or share a book with a friend...

Although it is better to search for quality, the film is good! :)

And now... it may be time to bake kanelbullar :) there, have a lingot each one (both of you?).

P.S. I'd appreciate corrections on the Swedish text :) Awww... I changed some det/den things. All this still puzzles me...

I'm impressed by your Swedish. At first I didn't realise that you wasn't native. But here's fixes. Changes surrounded by §

"§att§ jag ska försök att skriva det på svenska, och förbli en bit on-topic"

"Min först "lång§a§" text skriven §på§ svenska!"

"Jag vet §det§ här är ingen plats för att dela länkar"

"Även om det är bättre att söka för §kvaliten§, filmen är bra! :)" This sentence sound a bit odd still though.

"det är kanske §dags/tid§ för att baka kanelbullar :)"

"§Varsågod, ta en§ lingot §var till er båda§ :)"

Ok, so this might look like a lot of edits but you are writing understandable and not too far off from the error some Swedish persons do as well. Good work.

med italienska undertexter :)

edit: eller med undertexter i italiensk? Is the latter more correct than the first one?

med italienska undertexter is perfect. :)

The alternative would be med undertexter på italienska, but the former is a bit better.

Oh! I was going to ask you why italienska and not italiensk but now I realize I mixed the Swedish and Norwegian parts from that wiktionary page :) I'm going to have to take a look at the prepositions again anyway.

Tack!

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

I even found the DVD in our local main public library. Unfortunately on the DVD itself the Swedish subtitles are missing a lot of talk. Whenever there's a voice "from the off" there are no subtitles. (So they are like the worse, incomplete version on opensubtitles.org.)

Anybody know the best/easiest way to extract the video from the DVD and add the subtitles from opensubtitles.org ?

(I tried to google that, but many proposed "solutions" were involving either commercial or adware-infested software.)

It's been quite a while since I last did a dvd rip, but https://handbrake.fr/ was by far the best easy-to-use resource last I checked.

Thanks a lot! That looks promising and it's great that it is proper open source. Nowadays with all the ransomware I am very hesitant to install software on my Windows machine.
